How to Repair E4 Error in Induction Cooktop?

E4 Problem is a common problem in induction cookers and we saw it's before for many reasons like Mains AC Voltage high or Low than Normal Voltage there also induction cooker showing E4 Error but is this time we see a different fault for E4 error. in this induction cooker, the E4 error showed because of surface plate temperature sensor connector was open. some induction cookers will show E6 And E7 errors for this problem.

If your induction cooktop is showing an E4 message on the display then you need to repair it.

Let us give you some information about the error of the induction cooker. If the induction cooker shows an E4 message on the display, there may be some reasons given below.

Note: Induction Cooktop Error Message is not standard. every induction cooktop manufacturer shows different error messages for the same problem.

1. If your induction cooktop is showing the E4 error message, then you must check the input AC voltage. If the input voltage is higher than the normal voltage then you need to wait for some time. When the input voltage is normal, your induction can run properly without doing anything.

2. The failure of the box type capacitor 5 MFD / 400V is also a reason for the E4 error in the induction cooker. So you must check this capacitor as well.

3. The induction cooker has a voltage divider section to sense the input ac voltage. In this section 1 watt resistors of high value are connected to input AC voltage to the microcontroller IC. If the value of ground-connected resistors increases, the microcontroller ic will be over-voltage and the induction cooktop will show E4 Error.

In this case, you can have resistors for the divider section which are 220k, 270k, 330k, 470k, 820k 1watt, or 2watt. Resistors of the same value have to be replaced by checking.

4. Sometimes you cannot repair the E4 error in the induction cooktop. As you can see in the video below.

The ADC or voltage sensing pin of the microcontroller IC is connected through the divider register. The induction cooktop shows an E4 error due to this pin being shortened to the ground pin.

5. If the Induction cooktop shows E3, E4, E7, or E8 error when the input AC voltage is high or low. then you have to check the divider resistor in the induction cooker circuit.

The voltage divider section comes through the voltage of the IN4007 diode. Even if the IN4007 is open or short, induction E3 or E4 will show an error.

So if an E3 or E4 error occurs in the induction cooker, you will have to check all these from input AC Voltage to Diode Divider resistors of Half-Bridge rectifier, Microcontroller IC, Box Type Capacitor.

E4 Error Showing induction cooker because of induction sense input voltage high than normal so we need to check input AC voltage sensing pin to microcontroller ic. but in this induction cooker microcontroller ic, the high voltage sensing pin is short between the Ground pin.
