SMPS Section of Induction Cooktop.

 i)SMPS Section: 

The Induction Cooktop requires 5Volt DC and 18Volt DC voltage to work. DC 5Volt is used to operate the control section of the induction cooker and DC 18Volt is used to operate the driver section and fan. 

So 18Volt from the SMPS section is given to the Direct Fan and Driver Section and 8 to 9Volt from SMPS is given to the Input Pin of 78L05 IC and 5Volt from the Output of 78L05 IC is given to the Microcontroller IC and control panel.

The SMPS section in an induction cooker is made very simple. Viper12, AP8012, THX202, and THX203 ICs are generally used in the SMPS section. Well, there is not much problem in the SMPS section.

In the SMPS section of the induction cooker, sometimes the IC of the SMPS gets damaged and due to this the Zener Diode of 18V and its related components get damaged or the 22E or 47E resistor at the input of the SMPS section becomes open.

How to repair E0 Error in Induction Cooktop?

It is very easy to repair the SMPS section in an induction cooker. Now many companies are using SMD components in induction cookers, if you repair a regular induction cooker, then you should keep the above IC DIP and SMD package in stock, these ICs are not very expensive.

ii)Driver Section:  

In Induction Cooker we now understand the Driver Section.

In the driver section of the induction cooker, NPN and PNP transistors are used, generally, NPN transistor 8050 or 3904 is used and PNP transistor 8550 or 3906 is used. 

SMD transistors NPN 3JY and PNP 2TY are used in many models of induction cookers. The output from these transistors is given to the gate of the IGBT through the gate resistor.

The driver section is very important in the induction cooker, if there is a slight disturbance in the driver section then the IGBT of the induction cooker is damaged again and again.

Due to the opening of the gate resistor of the IGBT of the induction cooker, the IGBT of the induction cooker is damaged again and again. The gate resistor has a value of 10E or 22E.

iii)Output Section: 

Now let us talk about the output section of the induction cooker.

The output section of an induction cooker consists of a bridge rectifier and an IGBT main component.

The bridge rectifier has 4 pins, out of which AC voltage is given to pins 2 and 3 (the Anode and Cathode can be 1 number or 4 number pin, depending on the number of the bridge rectifier) ​​and the anode pin circuit of the bridge rectifier The board has a Ground pin and through a shunt, this pin is connected to the source of the IGBT. 

The +Ve output from the cathode is connected to one pin of an inductor coil and the other pin is connected to a 5uf/400Volt capacitor. And from this pin, the coil of the induction cooker is connected to the capacitor of 0.3uf/1200Volt is connected in parallel to this coil, and the second pin of the coil is connected to the drain pin of IGBT.

One number pin of IGBT is Gate and this pin receives gate pulse from the driver section and the induction cooker works.

Before repairing, any Induction cooktop you must know Induction Cooktop Error Message is not internationally standard. if you are a beginner and you are going to repair the induction cooker you need to read the same induction user manual. 

This means if you read the manual of prestige induction and you are going to repair the bajaj induction cooker then you are going on the wrong track. suppose prestige induction shows an E0 ERROR Message for same internal problem bajaj will show E1 ERROR. This is just an example.
